Removal of dark and multicolored tattoos
The Q-Switched technology of the Starwalker PQX laser equipment generates high-energy picosecond pulses that are effective in removing many types of tattoos. They are ideal tools for removing dark tattoos, as well as more complex and multicolored ones.**
By using larger spots with very high energy, deeper pigment structures can be reached, fragmented, and removed with high effectiveness and efficiency. Intervals of about four weeks between sessions are necessary to allow the body to remove the pigment residues.
Each treatment session lasts only a few minutes, but several sessions are usually needed to completely remove a tattoo, as ink particles can reach deep layers of the dermis.
The number of treatment sessions will essentially depend on the skin type, the size and location of the tattoo, the type of ink used, its depth in the skin, and the time elapsed since it was applied.

Different wavelengths for multicolored tattoos:
Fotona's Q-Switched lasers offer four wavelengths in one system, allowing treatments for virtually all commonly used pigment colors. Extremely short energy pulses cause the tattoo pigments to break into smaller particles, which are then removed by the body's own immune system.
The MaQX peak energy of the StarWalker, four colors, and the proprietary FracTAT® procedure make the StarWalker an industry-leading high-performance laser tattoo removal system.
