Extensive experience in the diagnosis and treatment of all types of vascular diseases, including: Varicose veins of the lower limbs using classic and endovascular techniques; Palmar and axillary hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating); Aortic aneurysms; Arteriopathy of the lower limbs (poor circulation); Arteriopathy of the lower limbs (poor circulation); Carotid disease and stroke prevention; Vascular access for haemodialysis.
Born in Porto in 1974, married with two children. He has strong family roots in Madeira through his maternal grandmother, who is from Ponta do Sol. He has visited the archipelago every year since he was one year old, establishing a strong connection. In addition to his professional career, he is passionate about sports, especially motor sports. He was a kart driver until 2019 (now only sporadically) and was national champion in the DD2 Masters category in 2016 and 2019. In those same years, he participated in the Rotax World Finals in Sarno, Italy, along with 73 other national champions from around the world. In 2019, he finished in an honourable 11th place overall. He is also a car driver, competing in the C1 Eurocup endurance championship, having been champion in 2022.
